Who decides

A trained clinician, after a medical consultation.

Whether ChondroFiller is suitable for you, and how it would be given, can only be decided by a trained clinician following a medical consultation. They will examine your joint, go through your history and your scans, and discuss the options with you.

The manufacturer lists the following joints.1

  • Knee

  • Hip

  • Shoulder

  • Ankle

  • Small joints of the hand

How the decision is made

Three steps, all of them with your surgeon.

  • Your surgeon assesses your joint, your history and your scans. Cartilage damage is usually confirmed on an MRI scan or during keyhole examination.

  • The surgeon weighs the position, grade and extent of the damage against the manufacturer’s intended use and the instructions supplied with the product.

  • You decide together. Alternatives are discussed, and you are free to ask for a second opinion at any clinic.

Only a surgeon who has examined you and seen your scans can say whether ChondroFiller is an option. What to expect.
